Now you've come to the 'nerdy' page of our site where we share some of our secrets of how things are done in the world of webpages. 

Sure, we may be giving away a few secrets but you guys use the site. It can only benefit you if you know about little bit about where it came from.

In recent years Apple have enhanced their Macs which are catching the attention of many people. People who are PC users through and through - just like Ford and Holden drivers, and some are going to 'the other side'. Why tell you this? Well, we like Macs, and thought our site could slightly mimic that.

This web site runs on a Linux server and uses many different modern web technologies, specifically open source software (which means it's free to use), and it has been developed on multiple platforms of Mac and PC and tested in multiple web browsers, including Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari, Camino and Mozilla Firefox.

The content management system the site is running on is ModxCMS, which allows multiple people to edit pages allowing for different templates.

Some of the images are using a reflection script for the fancy effects, and the special image gallery uses technology from the guys at Piclens.

Most of the graphics used on this site have been created and edited with Corel Draw and Photopaint 10, and some small amounts from Adobe Photoshop Elements, and Photoshop, to be able to share the graphics with other commitee members using different software.

We used Filezilla is our prefered ftp client, while the site is stored on a Godaddy server.
